Labor Savings
Compel Chain to Roll Out AccuBar
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.--Texas
de Brazil, a fast-growing chain of Brazilian steakhouses, is
rolling out AccuBar inventory systems chainwide after realizing
substantial savings at a pilot location.
"We were so
impressed with all the capabilities, speed and reporting
features AccuBar had to offer, we purchased units for all of
our locations and plan to continue using this system in all of
our upcoming restaurants," said Anil Sekhri, director of operations of the chain's eastern
region. "AccuBar has been able to cut down our
inventory time by over 50% and has given us instant, accurate
reporting."
Sekhri said it used to
take four managers around five hours to take inventory, and
now it takes 2 to 3 managers about 2 1/2 hours.
The fact that AccuBar
can be entirely paperless is a major benefit for Texas de
Brazil. "Our wine and alcohol inventory used to be done
with 20 pages of paper spread out all over the bar and having
to find each one and write down the count, and then move to
each item, line item by line item," Sekhri said.
"Then we had to count all the line items and get a total
and finally enter those numbers into our spreadsheet to get
our inventory amounts and percentages."
"After a long shift
and having to do inventory the frustration set in that there
has to be a better way of doing our monthly inventory,"
he said. Now, with AccuBar, those Excel spreadsheets are
generated automatically, and pouring cost numbers and
variances are just a few clicks away.
The Dallas-based chain
has seven locations, with aggressive expansion plans underway.

restaurant inventory keeping," Sekhri said. --------------------------
